Monday’s WOD:

1-1-1-1-1-1-1 Heavy Snatch!

This is a really awesome workout if you haven’t done it. It doesn’t appear to be much on paper (and who is writing anything on paper anymore anyways?)…but to perform the snatch properly, online aka the fastest lift in the world, prescription it takes a large combination of CrossFit’s 10 skill and fitness domains. All of that wrapped up in one explosive and powerful movement. By the end you’re wondering why you’re covered in sweat and ‘all you’ve been doing is single rep lifts’…well if ya don’t know, malady then now ya know!

1-1-1-1-1-1-1 Heavy Snatch!

This is a really awesome workout if you haven’t done it. It doesn’t appear to be much on paper (and who is writing anything on paper anymore anyways?)…but to perform the snatch properly, online aka the fastest lift in the world, prescription it takes a large combination of CrossFit’s 10 skill and fitness domains. All of that wrapped up in one explosive and powerful movement. By the end you’re wondering why you’re covered in sweat and ‘all you’ve been doing is single rep lifts’…well if ya don’t know, malady then now ya know!

This workout was pretty hard/awesome. Plus, pharm we had an 800 meter medicine ball Indian run warm up…good times. We’re just trying to make sure that we’re not lying when we say ‘You’re Workout is Our Warm Up’!

1 round of the above movements every minute for 30 minutes.  If you can’t make the minute call, here drop 1 rep on each movement until you find the appropriate scaling.

CrossFit North Hollywood is very proud to announce we are part of the CrossFit community’s “CrossFit Risk Retention Group”! Thank you to all of our members for helping us get there!

Let’s celebrate by having a special Sunday, sildenafil 11am WOD this Sunday (6/14/09)!

Saturday’s WOD:

“Chelsea”

5 pull ups

10 push ups

15 squats

1 round of the above movements every minute for 30 minutes.  If you can’t make the minute call, here drop 1 rep on each movement until you find the appropriate scaling.

Monday’s WOD:

1-1-1-1-1-1-1 Heavy Snatch!

This is a really awesome workout if you haven’t done it. It doesn’t appear to be much on paper (and who is writing anything on paper anymore anyways?)…but to perform the snatch properly, online aka the fastest lift in the world, prescription it takes a large combination of CrossFit’s 10 skill and fitness domains. All of that wrapped up in one explosive and powerful movement. By the end you’re wondering why you’re covered in sweat and ‘all you’ve been doing is single rep lifts’…well if ya don’t know, malady then now ya know!

This workout was pretty hard/awesome. Plus, pharm we had an 800 meter medicine ball Indian run warm up…good times. We’re just trying to make sure that we’re not lying when we say ‘You’re Workout is Our Warm Up’!

We did this workout about 2 months ago…and saw some huge improvements in the scores and new PR’s (Personal Records) everywhere.

Measuring your fitness level is an integral part of CrossFit. We’re constantly tracking your progress to make sure you reach your goals…and I think it’s working!

What’s Up CrossFit North Hollywooders (and future CFNHer’s!)?

A couple of quick announcements for you all.

First, treat and definitely most important…The 2009 CrossFit Games in Aromas, CA are coming up Saturday & Sunday July 11 & 12th.

As you all know our Head Trainer Kris is competing. She is 1 of the top 75 CrossFit women in the world competing for the title of The Fittest Woman on the Planet. In all there are 152 male and female competitors from every corner of the globe. If you’re interested in going, GO! We’re definitely going to be there, so you should too. Secondly, for those of you that are interested in getting your CrossFit Level 1 Certification, there will be one in Huntington Beach, CA, on September 19 & 20. This is definitely the closest one that will come for a long time, and you should know by now they sell out very, very quickly. So at least put your deposit down and reserve your spot!

Thirdly, starting in July we’re adding 2 more classes to the schedule. Both of these times have proved very popular, so we’re gonna give you more of what you like!

Starting Wednesday July 8 we’re adding a Wednesday @ 6pm class.

Starting Thursday July 9 we’re adding a Thursday @ 12:30pm class.

This means that we’ll have a 12:30 class every weekday, and an early evening class every weekday (either 5:30pm or 6pm).

Pretty awesome, huh! And we couldn’t have expanded to this many classes this quickly without all of your help. Thank you for all of your hard work, group encouragement during the workouts, and of course, SWEAT!
