When did you start crossfitting at CFHV? April 2010
Favorite W.O.D.: Angie
Least Favorite W.O.D.: The one we just did this past Friday. It sucked.
Tell us about your fitness and or athletic background before CrossFitting. Before CrossFit I played soccer for about 16 years and ran Track and Field. I’ve always been athletic throughout my life. I definitely miss playing soccer but CrossFit is amazing. I love it. We should start a CrossFit soccer team!!!
How did you find about CrossFit? What was your first W.O.D. like? I have a few friends that are into CrossFit and work out at CrossFit One World and they were the ones that first introduced it to me. My first WOD at the gym was Fran and I thought I was going to die after that. I came home and thought to myself “What have I gotten myself into?” But I stuck to it and now Fran and I are good friends. =)
What are your CrossFit goals? At first it was to lose weight but now that has changed. Now I want to master double unders and perform every benchmark WOD RX’d.
Who’s your favorite member to sweat with? Everyone and anyone but Carly is always really good with keeping me focused and keeping me moving even if I want to rest for a bit. YOU’RE AWESOME CARLY!
Since joining CFHV what can you do now that you never thought you would ever be able to do?
What kind of changes have you noticed in your life since joining the CFHV family? I’m so much stronger now and have more energy. I feel better about myself and I feel like I can do so much when it comes to my fitness goals. It’s a wonderful feeling.
Tell us about your experience with the community of CFHV. It’s amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to share a workout with. Everyone is extremely nice and encouraging to everyone. We are all from different backgrounds but share a common goal in fitness. I’ve meet some amazing people and look forward to meeting more amazing people as the gym is growing.
What is one of your favorite memories at CFHV? My first WOD ever it was so terrifying and hard but it’s one of my favorite memories because it was a start of new things to come. Yeah I know that sounds cheesy. =)
What’s your best advice for someone starting at CFHV? CrossFit is awesome!!! It works I promise if you don’t believe me then look at all the awesomely fit people that workout at our gym then you’ll want to be a part of this badass community.
