110602 – Thursday

Great turnout on Monday for ‘Memorial Day Murph’. This was our biggest gym-wide workout ever, and it was an absolute blast. We’d like to thank each and every one of you who came out, checked your ego at the door, got down and dirty, pushed yourselves far past your perceived limits, and brought honor to a great man and a difficult workout.

Bryan and Sky did the entire workout with a 20# vest on!

Maiman got mad love for doing the workout ‘straight through’ with a 35# vest. An incredible performance!

The boys keep repping out their push ups…200 of them!

Heat #2 got in on the action…

Monica brought her 71 year old father (far right!) to do Murph with her, how awesome is that!!!

And after only a few sessions with us, Marlyse chose to take on this challenge. Great work!

In the end, the Volts were beat…

The Vixens still looked beautiful…

Stefan probably grilled up over 100# of meat (including a ginormous 3# Lobster for me!)

And with such a great group of people, how could we not hang out and enjoy the beautiful day!

  • Regular schedule for 9 & 10 am this Saturday. No barbell class due to the 1st PHAT Elvis High Voltage National Weightlifting Qualifier we’re hosting.
  • Yoga/Mobility class is ON this Sunday at 10:30am. If you’re beat up from ‘Murph’, or the week of training, or just want to improve your overall flexibility, balance, and health, be sure and show up for this awesome class!

Tuesday’s Night ‘Vixen’s’ class is blowing up! Since ‘Murph’ was Monday, they focused a lot on mobility and recovery, using a bunch of movements from MobilityWOD.com to help everyone stay on track this week with the rest of their WOD’s!

And yeah, a double tabata finisher ain’t too bad either. Ladies, have you been to the Vixen’s class, Tuesday Nights at 6pm? Don’t miss out on this coming Tuesday…just sayin 🙂
