- 12:30 Gym-Wide Workout on Friday (only training session on Friday)
- Saturday: 9am Level 1 10am All Levels
- Sunday 11:30am All Levels
- Regular Schedule on Monday!
So many times before a workout I get caught up in the mentality of “I HAVE to” do x amount by this time or do all of these unbroken etc. I’m sure so many of you can relate to this and this is not always a bad thing. Still I sometimes forget to have fun. I mean – that’s what got me to do CrossFit in the first place. I know that’s why a lot of people at our gym started doing CrossFit fitness was fun again.
We can easily get sidetracked with always trying to set a personal record – not that that’s a bad thing. It’s just not always going to be the case even if you’re a fire breather like some people at our box. I felt this a couple of weeks ago at the Next Level Invitational competition. I wasn’t focused on having to make a personal record on the clean ladder…I went out there and just had fun. I took it one bar at a time and most of the time I didn’t know how much I was cleaning. I was having fun in the moment and enjoying the energy of the crowd and ended up setting an all time personal record!
The next time before a wod take a deep breath relax and most importantly have fun. Chances are you’ll do a whole lot better than what you thought you could.

With well designed progressions and close attention to detail many of our Level 1 athletes were able to do the benchmark workout ‘Elizabeth’ with Power Cleans…the weight of course is scaled appropriate to their current ability…and with their future progression in mind.
