  • Guest Days 2.0 – This Thursday Friday & Saturday! Bring your friends & family to High Voltage and help them see what makes our gym so special and all of you so Fit!
  • Next Tuesday night (January 17) the Paleo & Zone Meal Delivery Service ‘Chef by Request’ will be coming to the box to give out samples of their fantastic product. The deliver high quality Paleo and portioned meals to your home work or even our gym. Carly and I have used Chef by Request for almost 6 months and it has been a huge blessing when schedules get busy.

~On Thursday we held the first CrossFit High Voltage Advanced Class with the first WOD being “Trial by Fire”. We needed to complete it in under 25min to be able to participate in the class. I’ve been a member of the CrossFit High Voltage community for about 3 years now and the only athletic development I had prior to joining was High School football. I finished the work out in 24:45 just barely passing. I had never thought about it before but in the moments after testing into the advanced class I began to think about all the skills and strengths that I had just called upon. Having been given a task I devised a strategy and stayed confident throughout the trials that one experiences during a workout like that. I certainly have put in my fair share of hard work over the years as a member of CFHV but one cannot just acquire these things through hard work alone. I was trained and developed managed and motivated. I have been empowered by the fitness regimen that I know to be true and by minds that I trust above any to administer it. My name is Tyler Emery and I have successfully tested into the CFHV Advanced Class. I am Powered by CrossFit High Voltage!

Post to comments a task or endeavor that you have undertaken and otherwise wouldn’t have if it hadn’t been for the uplifting impact of improved health and fitness thanks to CFHV. -Band Sprints then:

A. Snatch Complex
3x Power Snatch 3x Behind  Neck Push Press 3x Overhead Squat
-sub to hang clean front squat push press

B. In 6 – 8 minutes find 1 rep max Overhead Squat

C. 4x 400 meter run – rest 2 min each set.

Level 1 CrossFit

Skill: Overhead Squat POSE running

WOD: 4x 400 meter run rest 2 minutes.
