Because you get to watch 3 High Voltage Coaches take the cast of CBS’s ‘The Talk’ through their very first CrossFit Workout!
1pm CBS (EST & PST) – and as if that’s not enough of a reason to watch – Debbie Gibson is on – and we all had crushes on Debbie Gibson when we were little. Right? Right.

On a side note this show was a ton of fun and all the hosts were really eager to learn about CrossFit. Just like any good student they asked a bunch of great questions and weren’t afraid to take on some of our CrossFit awesomeness. It just goes to show that ANYONE who wants to do CrossFit CAN do CrossFit. Anyone who wants to change their life can change their life.
These 5 women may not be your typical CrossFitters but then again what is a typical CrossFitter? We come together from all different backgrounds to make something that is greater than we could ever do on our own. We work on improving our technique we keep each other accountable and we cheer each other on as we progress (and you have GOT to hear the crowd – talk about support!).
So we hope you get to watch. We hope you get to enjoy the segment half as much as it was for us to film it. And we hope that you remember what your first steps into a CrossFit gym were like – and remember that they sure weren’t on TV!
Friday’s CrossFit Games Sectional Workout 12.2
Proceed through the sequence below completing as many reps as possible in 10 minutes of:
30 Snatch (M 75 / F 45 lbs)
30 Snatch (M 135 / F 75 lbs)
30 Snatch (M 165 / F 100 lbs)
Max Rep Snatch (M 210 / F 120 lbs)
This workout begins from the standing position.
The athlete will complete all reps at the first weight before advancing to the next weight.
Score is total reps completed in 10min.
- So…this WOD may seem a little difficult. Here are a few pointers to remember –
1. The first set of 30 reps are ones that almost everyone in our Community is going to be able to do.
2. It’s a Challenge – that’s part of the fun of a challenge is to well challenge yourself. You never know how good you are until you put yourself on the line.
3. We’ve made a ‘scaled’ way to go through this workout. It’s important to remember that only the Rx’d reps will go towards your CrossFit Games score meaning if you can do 30 reps of the 45 or 75# snatch but cannot do a single rep of the 75 or 135 2nd set of reps any additional reps you do after that jump will not count. We have all the score sheets each week from each athlete to ensure your score verification goes through properly.
If you can do this workout as prescribed regardless of your current division or level that’s what you should do.
But if you’re still working on getting there – here’s some options so you can continue to work on your snatch technique and get a great workout.
