It’s been an awesome week at High Voltage. New CrossFitters learning proper skills and movement patterns Intermediate CrossFitters learning more about their intensity levels and own energy systems and Advanced CrossFitters just straight crushing it. So what’s the common theme behind each different group’s ongoing results and improvements? Proper coaching of course a supportive Community you betcha. But there’s also one more thing we don’t hit on nearly enough. FUN!

Having fun in your training is one of the most important aspects of your overall fitness game. Sometimes training is fun sometimes it’s hard sometimes it’s a mixture of both. There’s an ebb and flow to it all and each part should be embraced. When it’s a really hard WOD buckle down it’s time to grind it out. But don’t forget when it’s a ‘fun’ WOD to have some fun with it. It is CrossFit after all and we’re High Voltage so have some fun crack a smile after you complete a rep…then get right back to it.

They say that intensity is where the results are…but I think just as importantly that ‘fun’ is where the results are.

And when all else fails remember what Monster Dan says – “The only muscle that can fail is your brain guys”. Epic.

Take it from Adele she's having fun (and getting really fit!) - she's been training with us for 3& 1/2 years (member #2)...maybe the 'fun' has something to do with it?

Maiman's having fun! He's been with us since our first month ever (member #4). Maybe he's figured out the fun part too?!

And Enrique's been with us for a few months but he's starting to figure out the formula too!

A. Back Squat

  • 5-5-3-3-3
  • Skill: Back Squat (high bar)
  • Sets of 5 Reps
B. For time:

  • 400m farmers walk each round
  • 21-15-9 after each round of Farmers walk

WOD: For time:
