Monday: CrossFit, Love, and the Rest of Your Life!

I say it a lot on Mondays – something along the lines of “it’s a new week, and a new chance to start this week off right and make another positive step towards the rest of the life you want.” More or less…

But…on Saturday night, I was more than pleasantly reminded about the power of Community and just how awesome CrossFit is at High Voltage.

See, we had our very first couple that literally met at the box, end up getting married on Saturday. And we couldn’t be more happy for them.

Eric and Nikki, two of our Volts and Vixens who embody all the awesome we talk about every day here, met during a Saturday ‘Team WOD’ a while back. Eric, in a truly suave move, asked Nikki to be WOD together. Love at first kettlebell swing? Yeah, pretty much. Even Eric’s kids Lauren and Nathan train with us on the regular, and they were the bride’s maid and best man. How cool is that?

It just make me think, when you commit to putting your best foot forward, when you put yourself out there to make ‘life changes’, you never really know what that’s going to mean. One thing is for certain, things in your life will not be the same as they were the day before. It might mean just being a little happier than you were the day before – and that alone is HUGE – but…but…it might even mean something more. For Eric & Nikki it did.

Committing to making changes isn’t easy. Everyone is watching YOU to see if you can deliver. BUT that is exactly why you ARE going to succeed. Putting yourself out there is WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS. It’s why being accountable works, and it’s why we are stronger together than we are alone.

Everyone on the High Voltage Team wishes Eric & Nikki a life of happiness, and we know they couldn’t have found a better match for each other. Here’s a big ‘Yeah Buddy’ from our entire High Voltage Community!

Sound off in Comments and show the fit couple some love!

The newlyweds only needed room for their biceps to make it down the isle!

And these yahoo’s were honored to be a part of the festivities – I think we were all there during their first Team WOD together!
