Friday: Wanting the Hard Jobs
Wanting the Hard Jobs
When I was young a group of my mentors used to tell me all the time “You want to take the difficult jobs. You want to take on the hard projects that no one wants.” It’s this type of mentality that can help to push you past your own expectations.
Hey gang! Coach Murillo here. I wanted to talk a little bit about taking the steps to make yourself excel.
This philosophy of taking on hard tasks can benefit you in the workplace. For example if you’re presented with an extremely difficult task at work and you succeed you’ve accomplished two things…
1. You’ve proven to yourself that you can handle a very strenuous workload and you’ve gained the experience necessary to push yourself even further in the future.
2. People will come to you when they are presented with a difficult task. You’ll become a more valuable worker and be sought out when things get crazy in the workplace.
If we apply this way of thinking to CrossFit it’s easier to step up to those more daunting WODs and tackle them knowing that when we put ourselves to the test we’ll come out the other side wiser CrossFitters and more resilient individuals.
Don’t forget! WLC Finals take place Saturday November 10th at 9:30 AM. Sign ups start at 8:30 so plan on getting here early!
