Monday: Back to Basics

Monday: Back to Basics

Monday: Back to Basics

There comes a time in every WOD when you are simply fatigued…

Tired
We’ve all been there. It’s the feeling you get when you have done so many reps and the thought starts creeping in your mind that you might fail on your next rep. Your sheer will may not be enough.

It’s times like these when it’s really important to focus on your fundamentals. If you’re doing power cleans you need to focus even more on making sure you bring your elbows around quickly. If you’re doing pull ups you need to focus on your kipping technique and making sure your grip will hold. If you’re running you need to make sure you’re still pumping your arms straight up and down rather than side to side.

These principles can be applied to our everyday lives. When you’re feeling burnt out or you’re goingPaul Happy through a really busy time of year and you find yourself stressed it helps to bring things back to basics. Focus on what’s really important to you. Family Friends Health and helping those in need. If everything that you do in life works towards improving those areas in your life you’ll see yourself coming out on the other side of any conflict thinking “I made it :)”.

Lets start next year now by bringing things back to basics and refocusing on what’s important.

See you at the box!
