Describe your first workout. YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS…DEETSSS!!!!

My first workout was brutal. I thought I was going to cough up a lung. Thank god there were other people there or I might have up and walked out. Peer pressure!

When did you know something had to change before joining CrossFit High Voltage?

After the intro workout I could see a level of commitment from the other Volts that were working out. There was a sense of camaraderie and also enjoyment going on. Ridiculous!

Describe your most memorable CrossFit Experience.

My most memorable experience was the first Fight Gone Bad in Culver City. I had never gone to anything like that before never mind compete in it. It was awesome dude.

Tell us about an area of your life most impacted by your decision to join CrossFit High Voltage.

I love a good challenge and being as ancient as I am compared to the average age I love beating people 20 yrs younger than me in the WOD.

When have you used CrossFit outside of the box?

I spin a lot and CrossFit has taken my endurance to a whole other level. Personally this sounds corny but love making is king today. I’m killing it.

Who is your most idolized fellow Volt or Vixen and why?

I would have to say Josh because he’s so committed to training but if Tim was still around he would get the nod. FYI if it wasn’t for Tim who tested me and trained me for the first few months I might not have stuck around. He made a huge difference in me sticking with it. I’d also like to give a shout out to the 6AM Group. They motivate me and give me hope for one day becoming a member of the RX Club.

What is your favorite cheat meal?

PIZZA!!!

How has getting in shape changed your professional life?
Everyone and I mean everyone noticed my body change within a couple of months. The Paleo Food Challenge was the biggest change in my entire life. I followed it to the “T” and I still eat about 2/3 of Paleo in my diet.

What are some of your CrossFit goals for the next year?

To get stronger and keep away from injuries as much as possible. The overhead squat is my evil nemesis which I will conquer some day hopefully soon. I don’t want to be found with a suicide note saying it took me out.

How long have you been CrossFitting?

1 1/2 years and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I was just saying today that on my mornings off I feel like I’m on vacation but the mornings I work out I kinda can’t wait to get there and get through it cause it’s never easy but then I’m burning calories all day.
