So today we were going to put up a post hyping the Lift Like A Badass Summer clinic…you know the one Coached by Pan American Games Silver Medalist Emmy Vargas!


We had all these awesome reasons prepared for everyone to get started and step up your game.


The blog post was already made. We were gonna talk about lifting progressions…and I LOVE lifting progressions!


Then we ran into a problem that stopped us dead in our tracks…




This 10 week cycle for High Voltage Olympic Weightlifting starting July 8th is officially closed for registration.


Congratulations to everyone that gets to Lift Like a Bad Ass with Emmy Vargas this summer. I cannot wait!

Pre-Skill Structural: Partner Pull Ups 3 sets:

  • 5-7 reps @ 31A1


Skill: Push Press

  • 6-8 reps @ 22×2


WOD: 12 Minute AMRAP

  • 5x Jumping Pull ups (sub ring row)
  • 10x DB/KB Push Press
  • 15x KB Swing
  • 100m run

A. Hang Power Clean 

  • 4×6 @ 22×2


B. Strict Pull Ups

  • 7-9 reps @ 31×0
  • rest 2 min betw sets (partner assist)


C. 21-15-9 reps for time

  • Hang Power Cleans
  • Pull Ups

A. Power Clean  – in 12 minutes build up to a heavy triple

  • 22×2 – must be touch & go



B1.Strict Pull Ups

  • 7-9 reps @ 31×0
  • rest 30 seconds

B2: GHD Sit Ups

  • 12-15 reps
  • rst 60 seconds


C. Lactic finisher – 10 min cap

3 RFT: 21-15-9

  • Power Cleans (135/90)
  • Chest to Bar Pull Ups
  • (Super RX – Unbroken Sets/int-adv-only 1 break per set- i.e. 11&10 on 21 pcl’s)
