OK, so today is our LAST push for RITB sign-ups. We’ve had a bunch of new teams sign up, which is great! Sign-ups will close THIS SATURDAY, JULY 15! After that we lock it off and set the heats & lanes.
With that in mind, Coach Desi has a great story:
This message goes out to those of you who hesitate to participate in CFHV’s Rumble in the Box. I ask that you hear me out:
You have nothing to lose, and everything to gain! If you’ve never participated in a competition now is the time to do it. Jul 22nd is your day. CFHV is your home and everyone here wants to see you succeed.
This environment is the perfect place to step outside of your comfort zone, challenge yourself, and have a ton of fun at the same time.
Although competing can be scary, there’s something about it that makes you feel so alive! The energy of the box on competition day is one of my favorite things.
One of my favorite competitions I’ve done was a throw-down competition that I did with my husband, Drew, a few years back at CFHV. We worked really hard and pushed ourselves to our limits.
Although we didn’t place and get prizes, we did learn to communicate better, work as a team, and had a blast getting after it in a safe, supportive community.
I encourage you to get a partner and sign up for the Rumble in the Box competition. You won’t regret it. If you would like to compete and are having difficulty finding a partner, reach out to us at CFHV and we’ll do our best to match you up with someone.”
Sounds good to me!
We’ve had some questions on movement standards and WOD logistics. All of the details will be in this Friday’s blog. Full movement standards and WOD logistics and all of your lingering questions answered.
Final heat times, lane assignments, and schedule will be emailed and posted on Sunday.
