I still remember her first day coming into CFHV. The first thing you’ll notice is her smile. It lights up the room, and you can’t help but have your day brightened.
She has a tenacious spirit and a happy, positive demeanor. One of my favorite memories from 2017 was when she came to me wanting to do our Rumble in the Box. She was relatively new, but had a mission- I made it my mission to find her a partner.

What’s your name?
Describe your first work out here at Crossfit High Voltage:
It was a great challenge, and definitely left me winded but great nonetheless.
Before joining High Voltage, when did you know something had to change?
I felt I had hit an all-time-low with my health, I have been a Type 1 Diabetic for almost 23 years now. The exercise and eating habits I had developed while I was in college were no longer suitable for my long-term health. Some friends and family members of mine had suggested finding a CrossFit box, so I found High Voltage and have loved it there since.

I’m a Legal Administrative Assistant for an entertainment payroll service company.
How has getting in shape changed your professional life?
It has shaped my professional life by strengthening my skills in self-discipline and tenacity.

My mental and physical health!
When have you used CrossFit outside of the box?
CrossFit outside of the box has helped me by assisting my mom with her martial arts forms, in addition to moving furniture.
Who is your most idolized fellow community member?
How can I choose just one? Everyone I have met at the box is incredible!
What is your one year or next CrossFit goal?
Being able to do a pull-up and then a muscle up!
What is your favorite & least favorite movement or WOD?
My favorite would be front squats with the barbell. My least favorite, if it counts, would be the assault bike hands down. It’s a love/hate relationship.
What is your favorite cheat meal?
Most items on a brunch menu haha.
