She’s quiet, but fierce. She’s consistent, but comes to multiple class times. And boy can she lift!

No matter the obstacle, she’s been a staple here at CFHV for a long time and I personally can say that she is excellently coachable- and that’s the key to success. Now, hear her story for yourself:

What’s your name?


Describe your first work out here at Crossfit High Voltage:

My first workout at CFHV consisted of snatching and running. I think I was sore for a week straight after that workout. I had taken time off from lifting so getting back into it was not easy.

Before joining High Voltage, when did you know something had to change?

I wasn’t motivated going to a regular gym. I was used to working out with a team everyday so I knew Crossfit would be the next best thing for me.

Describe your most memorable CrossFit Experience so far.

Getting 165# on my clean during the open. I was stuck at the same weight for the longest time because I wasn’t lifting everyday

Outside of High Voltage, what kind of work do you do? Give yourself a plug!

I have a part-time job lifeguarding and coaching water polo for City of LA parks and recreation department. Also taking a break from school at the moment.

How has getting in shape changed your professional life?

My job requires me to do annual rechecks which consists of swimming and pulling a weighted dummy out of the water. Doing Crossfit has definitely made it easier for me to pass my rechecks.

Tell us about an area of your life most impacted by your decision to join High Voltage.

Definitely my health

When have you used CrossFit outside of the box?

Bringing in all the grocery bags from my car in one trip 🙂

Who is your most idolized fellow community member?

All the girls!

What is your one year or next CrossFit goal?

A strict pull up

What is your favorite & least favorite movement or WOD?

My favorite movement is the snatch and least favorite is anything with dumbbells

What is your favorite cheat meal?

Mexican food and margaritas, specifically from salsa and beer : )
