Today I have not one, but TWO special announcements! They’re both a little ways out, but it’s time to start planning, and honestly I was just too dang excited to not spill the news.
Coming up in late June (date still to be decided) we will be holding our first ever Fitness Fair here at CrossFit High Voltage. This will be a special event to celebrate every aspect of health & wellness education and participation in our community.
Just the CFHV community? No way! We’re throwing this event for not just our gym, but for all of Burbank and the greater East San Fernando Valley. The whole family is invited to come, and we’ll be primarily focusing on ages 3-11.
Our CrossFit Kids and CrossFit Sparx programs continue to expand, and we want to continue our tradition of service in creating a foundation for a lifetime of healthy habits in our youth.
We’ll have raffles, free membership give aways, and prizes. We’ll also have different stations with short exercises, challenges, & WODs for children to participate in.
We need your help to spread the word! We’re also looking for vendors to have booths at the Fair. Do you or somebody you know have a business you’d like to promote to our members and children in the surrounding area? Something in health, wellness, active lifestyle, or nutrition? We’d love to hear from you!

Look at all of those strong women in the photo…even Andrew! Haha. Ok, for this next part I’m going to turn it over to Coach Dizzle:
“Way back in the day, we had a regular Vixen’s class where all the ladies would come out and throw down in the parking lot! That’s right, we were pretty hardcore. It was definitely my favorite class, but unfortunately due to the schedule and logistics, CFHV could no longer host the class.
The good news is though is that the Vixens class is coming back for a Summer session and we will have the whole space to ourselves. It’s an opportunity to WOD, bond, and meet some other Vixens that you don’t normally train with.
It also gives us a chance to work on some skills. We usually try to focus on some of the skills that can be difficult for women, like dips (!!!), pull-ups, handstands and muscle-ups. Then we finish with a fun, sweaty WOD that’ll burn off the weekend calories!
Please join us starting Sunday, June 3rd for our first Vixens Summer session. The class with run every other Sunday at 11am thru August 19th. We will end the Summer with some fruit and mimosas!!!”
