Ahead of our new programming cycle that begins on this coming Monday, we have a great way to kick things off. What an exciting weekend indeed! Let’s have a look:
Olympic Drills for Skills Returns:
This 90 minute class will run for the next 9 weeks. The focus is exclusively on the Olympic Weightlifting movements: the clean, the jerk, & the snatch.
I’ve had a lot of questions about who exactly this class is for, and the answer is…everybody! It doesn’t matter if you’re brand new to CrossFit or a seasoned athlete that’s been training with us for a few years now.
If you’re new, this is where you’ll have the time to break the major lifts down into their individual components so that it doesn’t seem so confusing. I remember when I started, it was hard enough to remember the names of everything without also having to manage hitting all the points of performance.
It’s tough in our daily CrossFit classes to really spend the time necessary to perfect these lifts, so this is an awesome opportunity to go long form and figure out exactly how to make your body do all those moves in such a short amount of time.
Seasoned pro? This class is for you too! Olympic Weightlifting is something that no matter how much you practice, there is always further perfection to be achieved.
Each of us has some piece of the lift or connection in between that may cause us to plateau in our training. This is the place to identify and correct those points to get that big breakthrough moment.
No WOD, no cardio, just 3 beautiful and complex movements broken down into pieces and made more manageable to digest.

As announced, this very popular class finally returns for a Summer session THIS Sunday. Headed up by Coach Dizzle, this is a great opportunity to WOD, bond, and meet some of the other ladies you don’t normally train with.
It’s also a fantastic chance to focus on some skills that can be more challenging for women, like dips, pull-ups, handstand push-ups, & muscle-ups.
We pride ourselves on all the strong women -inside & out- at CFHV, and we have a long tradition of honoring & serving them. This will be one of our most popular classes of the week, so now is a great time to get in and say you were there when it all started.
Please join us starting THIS Sunday, June 3rd, and then every other Sunday @ 11am through August 19th. As always, we will end the Summer with some fruit and mimosas! (and word has it Coach Dizzle might kick it off that way too)
