What’s your name?
Describe your first time trying CrossFit:
I felt like I was going to die.
Before starting CrossFit, when did you know something had to change?
I tried yoga, spin class and just going to the gym and I was bored.
Describe your most memorable CrossFit Experience so far.
Everything has been a memorable experience for me. I had never lifted or done many of the movements I do at Crossfit now so I am constantly learning and growing. I’m very happy every time I finish a class.
Outside the box, what kind of work do you do? Give yourself a plug!
I work for the City of Los Angeles, advising the Mayor and City Council on health issues. I also work on services for people with disabilities and am involved in the city’s homelessness response efforts.
How has getting in shape changed your professional life?
I am generally more happy when I work out so I try to do it every day before work.
Tell us about an area of your life most impacted by your decision to join CrossFit:
I feel better about myself and have more confidence.
When is a time you’ve been able to use CrossFit outside of the box?
I try to do some basic movements when I am traveling just to keep myself going so I’ll do situps, squats, pushups, etc in my hotel room.
Who is your most idolized fellow community member?
I idolize anyone that shows up does the work. It’s not always easy, so showing up is commendable.
What is your one year or next CrossFit goal?
I want to do a handstand push-up and double unders.
What is your favorite & least favorite movement or WOD?
I hate running. Period. I really enjoy back squats.
What is your favorite cheat meal?
I don’t really limit my food choices, I do Crossfit to eat what I want. I keep it light and balanced.

A fun experience with lasting results.
