What’s your name?
Describe your first time trying CrossFit:
I threw up in the bathroom, then on the walk home and then when I got home. After a week, I stopped throwing up after the workout.
Before starting CrossFit, when did you know something had to change?
I was incredibly bored and not motivated in the least to workout. I would go to the gym, do the same thing and see no results.
Describe your most memorable CrossFit Experience so far.
There is not one specific moment. However, every time I’m able to lift more it excites me!
Outside the box, what kind of work do you do? Give yourself a plug!
Store Manager with Starbucks Coffee. Hence why I love the morning classes. I’m a morning guy!
How has getting in shape changed your professional life?
More energy, able to lift and move quicker. If you know anything about working in a coffee shop, it’s constant movement. Definitely helps!
Tell us about an area of your life most impacted by your decision to join CrossFit:
More body confidence. Bring on the pool parties!!!
When is a time you’ve been able to use CrossFit outside of the box?
At work, when lifting heavy objects and doing it properly as to not hurt myself. The leg strength to hike up difficult hiking trails. Over all just the strength to do more.
Who is your most idolized fellow community member?
Krystal Avila, she has been my main instructor since i started. She has taught me pretty much everything. Even though she has the worst choices in music, I still showed up to almost every 6 am class because she made it fun. Having fun to me is the most important part.
What is your one year or next CrossFit goal?
To do an actual hand stand on my own!
What is your favorite & least favorite movement or WOD?
Parallel Bars!!!! They’re stupid and pointless.
What is your favorite cheat meal?
Fried Chicken and bacon dogs!!!
If you had to describe CrossFit in one sentence:
Painful but worth it in the end!
