What’s your name?
Describe your first time trying CrossFit:
Oh man…I was glad I survived (probably sore for a good week) that class. You always have good peoples encouraging you so you push yourself in the beginning but first few months are hard just to sustain yourself in the classes before it starts getting better.
Before starting CrossFit, when did you know something had to change?
I always have had long working hours and with a crazy wife feeding me all that Indian food ….I knew I couldn’t sustain at that pace not doing some planned work out, never had imagined I would be doing Crossfit unless her and Coach Travis pushed me to try few classes.
Describe your most memorable CrossFit Experience so far.
Have been doing Crossfit for over a year now but OPENS I think are the best..the energy around is unbelievable and i was able to do a few of them RX too which was pretty cool.
Outside the box, what kind of work do you do? Give yourself a plug!
I do IT Consulting work.
How has getting in shape changed your professional life?
You feel stronger, you have more energy…People at work ask you all the time what do you do to stay in shape and ask you health tips LOL.
Tell us about an area of your life most impacted by your decision to join CrossFit:
I can eat whatever I want with no guilt sums it up
When is a time you’ve been able to use CrossFit outside of the box?
Crossfit has made me much stronger than where i was a year back…I felt that when we moved to our new place and I had to move stuff around…..I was like hmmmm I would have never done this with this ease previously.
Who is your most idolized fellow community member?
There are so many its hard to name one. If you talk pure work out wise Irving Flores has always inspired me … he is very well rounded in all aspects be it strength or cardio. For energy and the vibe you want in a WOD it has to be my man Colin…this guy has crazy energy and workouts are super fun when he is around.
What is your one year or next CrossFit goal?
Get my bar and ring muscle ups…I think I have the strength but missing the technique somewhere.
What is your favorite & least favorite movement or WOD?
I am not sure if I have any fav. specifically but I love any WOD with a combination of cardio and weights. I don’t like WODs with muscle ups/rope climbs as I can’t do them yet ☺️
What is your favorite cheat meal?
Ha…there are so many, I workout so I can eat. Grew in a country where food options are endless and there no life without it. But if I have to name one its Biryani.
If you had to describe CrossFit in one sentence:
Great people with great energy working their butts off and changing lives.
