What’s your name?
Describe your first time trying CrossFit:
I walked in, and walked straight out. The coach thankfully saw how nervous I probably was, and ran out after me. In the parking lot, he was able to coax me to come back in and try it out! The rest is history.
Before starting CrossFit, when did you know something had to change?
I didn’t even know. I just thought it would be a fun challenge— and I was absolutely right!
Describe your most memorable CrossFit Experience so far.
The Open every year. It still amazes me how a mere six minutes of hard work can leave me so sore.
Outside the box, what kind of work do you do? Give yourself a plug!
I’m the Director of Operations of a Pasadena Sports and Fitness company, so I get to help people with their fitness journey!
How has getting in shape changed your professional life?
It has forced me to go to bed earlier and get more sleep! More sleep makes me a much happier person to work with….
Tell us about an area of your life most impacted by your decision to join CrossFit:
Crossfit has shaped the kind of people that I like to hang out with! Being around people that understand the value of physical exercise and much fun it can be has really helped me figure out what kind of person I want to be!
When is a time you’ve been able to use CrossFit outside of the box?
I had to clean my old roommate out of a club…. and I Zercher carried her through the streets of LA.
Who is your most idolized fellow community member?
I’m new to CFHV, so right now it’s everyone!!
What is your one year or next CrossFit goal?
Dips! And then a muscle up!
What is your favorite & least favorite movement or WOD?
Thrusters are my kryptonite, and clean + jerks are my favorite.
What is your favorite cheat meal?
Frozen Yogurt, with all the toppings
If you had to describe CrossFit in one sentence:
Always being sore from something I’ll always be mediocre at, but being completely happy with that.
