What’s your name?

Chris Revell

Describe your first time trying CrossFit:

It was tough, but what I’d been looking for. The AB killed me, but I had a blast.

Before starting CrossFit, when did you know something had to change?

Ever since college, I have been looking for something that had competition built into it like football did and was going to really push me. Since August, that has been Crossfit and the community I work out with every day.

Describe your most memorable CrossFit Experience so far.

So far, getting the ring muscle up.

Outside the box, what kind of work do you do? Give yourself a plug!

I am the Director of Family Ministries at Story City Church in Burbank. I am over the youth and kids ministries.

How has getting in shape changed your professional life?

The biggest thing for me is it helps with my mentality throughout the day. After the morning WOD I am ready to tackle whatever is coming that day.

Tell us about an area of your life most impacted by your decision to join CrossFit:

I think my overall health has improved and how I view my health and taking care of my body. The bad part is ever since I started, it is all I want to do. If I could do it 3-4 times a day I would.

When is a time you’ve been able to use CrossFit outside of the box?

I think I use it every day. It could be helping someone move to playing a sport or going on a hike. It helps with every aspect of my daily life.

Who is your most idolized fellow community member?

If we are talking for all of Crossfit, it is Rich Froning.

What is your one year or next CrossFit goal?

To be efficient and competitive with every movement. To make the board for every benchmark and hero workout.

What is your favorite & least favorite movement or WOD?

Love power clean. Least favorite is anything with the AB.

What is your favorite cheat meal?

Chicken wings and/or all Mexican food

If you had to describe CrossFit in one sentence.

Community of people committed to helping each other better themselves and reach their fitness goals.
