What’s your name?
Describe your first time trying CrossFit:
I threw up in a park.
Before starting CrossFit, when did you know something had to change?
Truthfully, I was gently pushed in by some loving family. So I really didn’t realize I needed to change until after I made the change. And boy did I need a change.
Describe your most memorable CrossFit Experience so far.
Getting my Level One Instructor certification with Mitch. I was very happy to know someone there with me kinda starting out on that coaching journey together. It made the whole experience a lot more comfortable, so I was able to absorb and learn as much as possible in that short time frame. It also made me feel less scared about being exposed as some punk kid with no credentials. Either that, or the time I threw up in a park.
Outside the box, what kind of work do you do? Give yourself a plug!
I sell Chinese food and will soon be attending nursing school.
How has getting in shape changed your professional life?
When I first started crossfit I was working at an elementary school, and I quickly noticed a huge improvement. I was able to keep up with the kids a lot more physically which allowed me to remain more calm and patient with them. This byproduct was generally present in every day life as well, it made life a lot easier. Social anxiety or negative thoughts don’t seem to affect me as much when I can crush these wods daily, so my mood and self esteem have increased dramatically as well!
Tell us about an area of your life most impacted by your decision to join CrossFit:
Since becoming a coach I’ve learned so much about myself. Getting to know so many people through the gym and through teaching has been really rewarding for me, and has changed my life entirely. Not to mention the physical improvements as well! For example, I can now eat an entire box of carne asada fries on my own. #gutgains
When is a time you’ve been able to use CrossFit outside of the box?
Who is your most idolized fellow community member?
Logan and Travis are my heroes.

My whole life is a cheat meal.
