NEW Blog feature for 2019:

For the past 18 months or so, I’ve had the pleasure of featuring a different member of the gym each week on Wednesdays. In that time we’ve all gotten to know each other a little better, and shared a lot of great stories.

Starting the first week of the new year, I’m brining back an popular previous feature of a weekly Coach Guest Blog. Each week I’ll be brining to you a blog that is written by a different coach, featuring topics interesting to you, featuring the unique perspective of one of CFHV’s amazing staff.

This will give each coach a chance to share some of the knowledge they’ve picked up along the way with all of us that maybe they don’t have the time to expound upon during class time. I’m personally really looking forward to what they all have to share, and I hope you are too!

Body Spec Truck Returns:

Well, you knew it had to happen. I’ve been having the Body Spec Truck come every 2-3 months and you guys love it! It really has been allowing many of us to keep tabs on how our training and nutrition are going with the real time data that doesn’t lie.

All I Want for Christmas…

We’ve had a lot of interest in these programs, but time is running out! While these programs will be available for 2019, the SPECIAL HOLIDAY PRICE expires Saturday, January 5!

The Open will be here faster than we think and many of us have that one tricky movement we’re eager to nail before it that time comes. Having that one on one attention and the eye of a qualified coach is often all it takes to make it happen.

So what do YOU want to improve on? Olympic Weightlifting? Double-unders, pull-ups, or muscle-ups? Want to learn to string your toes to bar? Or maybe you want to try a handstand push-up, or even just getting inverted for the first time?

Step 1: Pick Your Goal. We’re offering a five week series in each of the three Olympic Lifts (clean, jerk, or snatch) and also Bodyweight & Gymnastics movements (pull-ups, toes to bar, dips, pistols, jump rope, muscle-ups, ring dips, & handstand push-ups).

Step 2: Set Your Schedule. You’ll meet 1-on-1 with a Coach for a 30 minute session, once per week, for 5 weeks. In each session you’ll focus on the specific skills necessary to unlock your biggest goals.

Step 3: Get to Work. In between each session you’ll have some skill specific drills to work on to help implement what you’ve just learned, and prepare you for the following week’s session..
