The CrossFit Games Open Registration:
Can you believe it!? Our first “Friday Night Lights” is already NEXT Friday, February 22!
If you haven’t yet, now is the time to go to https://games.crossfit.com/ and register to represent “CrossFit High Voltage” as your affiliate.
During the Open on Thursdays for 5 weeks, CF HQ releases the WOD that hundreds of thousands of CrossFitters all over the world participate in and log their scores.
This allows you to see where you stack up against all of the other athletes in the world, no matter what your ability level is, and as of 2014 HQ has included a scaled division, so literally everybody can now participate!
Expect weekly victories that will improve your fitness, elevate your attitude, & bond you with your entire community.
We’ll have sponsors AND prizes, plus you know we bring the DJ to book-end the whole thing. CFHV FNL events are legendary!
Olympic Weightlifting “Drills for Skills” Class:
This popular class is going into it’s final three weeks every Saturday from 10:30am-12:00pm as our specialty class. That’s only one more time to work on each of the lifts!
We focus on one lift (clean, jerk, or snatch) each week, and break them down into innovative, but manageable drills and components. We then integrate those individual pieces using volume rather than weight to practice & refine your movements.
By doing this it allows you and your Coach to identify and address the areas with which you struggle the most. With our tested drills, we’ll break down the confusion and give you the keys to the rewarding & enriching world of proper Olympic Weightlifting.
At the end of each 90 minute session, you’ll re-construct the lift to see how all of the refined pieces fit together. It isn’t uncommon to see unexpected PR’s, “ah-hah” moments, and major epiphanies.
