The commitment to our children’s health and wellness is quite literally the greatest gift and life skill that we can give them.  Setting them up with a solid foundation of fitness from an early age ensures them a lifetime of success as it nurtures their neurological development as much as their physical development.

Like CrossFit, Crossfit Kids combines gymnastics, body-weight movements, and weightlifting elements (unloaded) to develop a broad foundation of fitness. There is additional emphasis on elements that encourage bone density and vestibular system development.  Our main priority is to always pair fitness with FUN to ensure a lifelong relationship with health and wellness.

The physical benefits your child will experience as part of our CrossFit Kids program are really only the beginning of how we can enrich their lives.  Through exercising amongst their peer group in a structured and safe environment, your children will improve social skills, build confidence, understand work ethic,  foster teamwork and learn to value integrity & discipline.  More importantly, it is well documented that cognitive development excels in children that are paired with a physical fitness program.

Your child will also be given constant opportunities to succeed and perform better than they previously had, while still learning to fail with dignity and have the grit to grow from those experiences.  Children in a Crossfit Kids program will be more likely to have a self-perception based on what they can do, rather than what they look like or other superficial attributes.

We will be be running two major groups for classes: Preschool (ages 3-7, coming in 2016) and Kids (ages 6-12).  Please note that it is not the age of your child that is the deciding factor for what class they attend.  It is based upon individual skill, athleticism, and maturity to ensure your child is getting the most out of their CrossFit experience.

Preschool will generally be 25 minutes, with Kids class lasting approximately 45 minutes.  Kids class will be meeting on Saturdays from 9:00-9:45am, and on Thursdays from 3:30-4:15pm.  Please know that we want this class to be available to as many children as possible, and encourage your feedback on what class times work best for you to provide flexibility for your schedule.
