  • It's been a really great week of training. Sometimes we do this at the beginning of the week, but it's just as valid at the end. How did you week go? Did you crush it as planned, or did life get in the way? How quickly were you able to rebound? Regardless of the outcome, what are you taking into next week to forge ahead? -Enjoy your weekend. Enjoy your progress. It's a great time to be getting fit! ~Tim PS, there's no WOD posted today. There's a really fun one written, but you'll have to just come in & have a great time. You're coaches are, so why not you?!

Week 2 WLC Winner is about to be announced...and not only for crushing the first 2 weeks...but it also comes with a SWEET $50 gift card to Fleet Feet in Burbank towards some new CrossFit Kix! Let's hear it for Marc Binda! Give this Healthy Man a big 'Yeah Buddy'! --- The CrossFit and fitness world is BIG. There's a lot to discover, and a lot about ourselves that we get to find out. Sometimes this happens when we first look at a workout (what does the voice in your head say?). Sometimes we learn about our approach when we come into the box:  Did you Check Your Ego At The Door? Sometimes it happens mid-WOD - do you doubt yourself? Do you know how to pace properly? And sometimes this happens in those blissful moments post-WOD where we can high-5, reflect, and congratulate each other on a WOD well done. But what happens when that voice in our head get loud? What happens when you see a workout/movement/or progression that is outside your wheel house? Do you get caught up in that and make it into a mountain? Or do you focus on what you can do? When you're training with your entire body, and working on broad, balanced fitness, you're constantly going to be confronted with each of these dilemmas. And every day you have this choice: You can make it a mountain, or you can focus on what you CAN do. The choice is yours...but we can not neglect the adaptations that comes between the ears. ~Tim

I have been with CFHV for so so long, I am only accustomed to one kind of coaching.....the good kind! Since I moved away, I have been to two boxes.  I can only say that none of them comes even close to the excellent coaching at CFHV.
The instructions, the programming, the coaches' attitude, the box's environment....the difference is evident. Props to all the coaches...You should be proud of what you all built.  I am specially proud to have been part of it!

  • The great team who manage and coach this facility impress me as people. They are great teachers, and just as importantly, motivators, and they are very smart about it. I've worked at gyms with trainers, which can give you results, but the energy here will help you see you goal faster, and likely, safer. I. Trust. Them. You can too 🙂 ~Greg
