From Sparx come fire!
Our very first 8 week cycle for our CrossFit Sparx program (Ages 3-6) was a HUGE success!
How huge? Big enough that the word is spreading and we were invited recently to share our program at a local pre-school. Coach Deb led the children on an introduction to fitness via movement, tumbling, and most importantly play.
So what’s next? Our next 8 week cycle will begin on Saturday, November 11, @ 10am. Right here at CFHV!
All of our kid’s programs involve gymnastics, body-weight movements, and tumbling to develop a broad foundation of fitness. There is additional emphasis on elements that encourage bone density and vestibular system development. The main priority is to always pair fitness with FUN to ensure a lifelong relationship with health and wellness.
Through exercising among their peer group in a structured and safe environment, children improve social skills, build confidence, understand work ethic, foster teamwork and learn to value integrity & discipline. More importantly, it is well documented that cognitive development excels in children that are paired with a physical fitness program.
Kids are given constant opportunities to succeed and perform better than they previously had, while still learning to fail with dignity and have the grit to grow from those experiences. Children in a Crossfit Kids program will be more likely to have a self-perception based on what they can do, rather than what they look like or other superficial attributes.
