Member Spotlight: Danetta Brunelli Montante

Today’s featured member has really made CrossFit a family affair.  She originally came to me looking for an athletic program for her son, and our CrossFit Kids program was the perfect fit.

It wasn’t long before she joined in on the fun herself and became a member. Then came her husband, her other son, his girlfriend, her brother-in-law, sister-in-law, …you get the picture! I think one WOD we literally had 7 family members in one class.

She’s always consistent, a great role model, and truly has embraced everything that is CFHV.  We’re all better for knowing…

Describe your first work out here at Crossfit High Voltage:

Challenging, but our coach was very helpful, making sure I was completing the moves correctly, and that I did not push too hard at my first class.

Before joining High Voltage, when did you know something had to change?

As each year passed I realized I was getting weaker, had less stamina and felt tired all the time.

Describe your most memorable CrossFit Experience so far.

Each workout is an experience, a challenge, and very rewarding, so basically every time I am at CFHV it is memorable.

How has getting in shape changed your professional life?

Feeling better about myself has provided me more confidence at work.

Tell us about an area of your life most impacted by your decision to join High Voltage.

My sister-in-law literally changed her life with CF, seeing her transformation gave me the inspiration to make a change in my life.

When have you used CrossFit outside of the box?

At my first Spartan Race!

Who is your most idolized fellow community member?

I can’t pick just one, I think everyone is amazing!

What is your one year or next CrossFit goal?

To complete another spartan Race.

What is your favorite & least favorite movement or WOD?

Favorite – Tabata Least favorite – Burpees

What is your favorite cheat meal?

Mexican food or In-N-Out
